Masca - the forgotten village

The pass you need to cross from Santiago del Tenerife down to Masca - look towards Teide.

The road down to Masca goes via many turns, far down.

The main street in Masca is a narrow, steep path paved with rough stones.

View over the village - notice how the roof tiles are being kept in place.

Before the road was built, you got out of the village through the barranco down to the sea.

The village church can handle almost 80 souls.
